Who we are
We are a team of plant pathologists conducting both fundamental and translational research on oomycete and fungal pathogens that severely affect vegetable production and tropical fruit crops.
Our mission
Our mission is to advance plant health by uncovering how destructive oomycete and fungal pathogens cause disease and how plants defend themselves, and by translating discoveries from our work and others’ into practical strategies that protect vegetable and fruit crops.
Where we are
We are based at the University of Georgia (UGA) Tifton Campus, in the heart of Georgia agriculture. Our location keeps us close to growers, extension, and field-based research, helping us connect fundamental discovery with real-world solutions for crop protection.
